CABVI recently earned registration from the Performance Review Institute (PRI) Registrar auditors who reviewed their Quality Program in relation to the International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001:2008 standard. This standard helps to ensure that products are of good quality, will meet or exceed customer requirements and continually improve.
CABVI's Industries Program not only passed on its first attempt with flying colors but was also told during the course of this audit that they are doing "an exceptional job of providing an excellent work environment that focuses on meeting customer needs."
"We are extremely proud of our Industries team for working hard to achieve this noteworthy distinction," CABVI Executive Director John Mitchell said. "We feel that this recognition will help us to expand our program and create more job opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired in the coming months and years."
The CABVI Industries Program manufactures a variety of products for a variety of customers, including both the Federal Government and State of Ohio, and employs 48 people who are blind or visually impaired in Greater Cincinnati.
