Cabvi Rafting Trip Provided Fun For People With Vision Loss

Cincinnati, OH-  Annual Trip Has Offered an Outdoor Adventure for 30+ Years - On Friday, July 8th, Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired embarked on one of its favorite traditions of the year- its annual raft trip in Brookville, Indiana. Participants, with and without vision, took to the Whitewater River for an afternoon of fun.

Participants enjoyed a leisurely river adventure departing from Morgan’s Outdoor Adventure’s facility in Brookville, Indiana. Following the rafting, participants enjoyed a picnic lunch to round out the afternoon.

This year, 50 people attended the event. CABVI is grateful to Morgan’s for once again donating the use of their rafts and picnic shelter for this annual event that so many people who are blind or visually impaired enjoy attending.

For more than 100 years, the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired has provided counseling, rehabilitation, information and employment services to people of all ages in an eleven county area. Through all of its programs and services, it strives to help those who are blind, visually or print impaired lead independent lives. CABVI provides services to more than 5,000 people every year.
