CABVI Offers Coffee Talks Via Zoom

CINCINNATI (October 27, 2021) – CABVI is inviting members of our community who are blind or visually impaired to join us via Zoom for a Coffee Talk on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 from 10am-11:30am. Coffee Talks are free, open events for anyone affected by vision loss to learn more about related topics.


Both music and art can play a variety of roles in our lives as well as being therapeutic. CABVI Music Therapist Jen Ortiz and guest Art Therapist Charlotte Reed will explain about both modalities and some of the benefits, as well as considerations for vision loss. Participants will also learn about the current music therapy program at CABVI, the local non-profit Art Equals, and some recent collaborations of art within the music therapy program at CABVI.

Since 1911, CABVI has been providing counseling, vision rehabilitation, and employment services to help more than 4,500 people annually of all ages adapt to severe vision loss in the Greater Cincinnati region. This includes early childhood, low vision, daily living, access technology and safe travel training.
