Enterprise for Good

CABVI operates a variety of Social Enterprises (businesses that operate to further a social mission) to provide training and job opportunities to reduce the 70% unemployment rate among people who are blind or visually impaired in our community. Our goal is to do all we can to help our employees live fuller, more independent lives.

Hornbeck Social Enterprise Center

In July of 2016, CABVI received a very generous estate gift from Carolyn (Voss) Hornbeck that helped in the purchase of an additional building for our Social Enterprise operations. In August of 2017, we officially opened the Hornbeck Social Enterprise Center, a 59,000 square foot space that allowed us to increase our operations by more than 75%.
