June 29, 2017 – Cincinnati, OH – Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) will host the 18th Annual “Yes You Can” 5K to support services for people with vision loss on Sunday, August 20. The race begins at 8:30 a.m., and check-in starts at 7 a.m. at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45232 at the funeral home building entrance on Spring Grove Avenue, immediately north of Crawford Avenue.
Please pre-register on-line through Thursday, August 17 at www.cincyblind.org/events for $30. Day-of registration is $35. This 3.1-mile, certified course is a paved roadway through the scenic Spring Grove Cemetery grounds.
Awards will follow the completion of the 5K, including an overall man and woman winner in the running and walking divisions and the top two in each of the age divisions. There are also awards for visually impaired participants – top three men and top three women – and awards for the top man and top woman wheelchair participants.
Prior to the race there is music and split the pot tickets on sale for all participants.
Packet pickup takes place on Saturday, Aug. 19, 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Bob Roncker’s Running Spot, 1993 Madison Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45208. You can pick up your T-shirt and race materials at this time or the day of the race. Registration the day of the event is $35 and includes a T-shirt while supplies last.
